We plant a tree for every purchase of the Finisseur Recycled Collection
Did you know that deforestation is one of the main factors contributing to climate change? This is a problem with devastating effects on the Planet and every day that passes is precious time in our race for survival.
The main cause of climate change, as is well known, is the emission of greenhouse gases, with deforestation being responsible for 12% of CO2 emissions. Every year 8.8M hectares of forest disappear (Greenpeace data), large-scale deforestation that continues to seriously affect tropical forest areas, their diversity, their ecosystem and, in general, the climate and the environment worldwide.
At Deporvillage, our mission is to offer athletes the best products to practise their favourite sports, but for us it is also very important to take care of the Planet on which we live and, therefore, on which we practise them. Consequently, we carry out actions to contribute to caring for the Planet, such as the implementation of recycled cardboard in 100% of the packaging of our shipments, thus reducing the use of paper and caring for our forests.
Today we want to go one step further and not only with the aim of reducing emissions and consumption, but also contributing to the reforestation of the Planet and the recovery of natural habitats by involving our customers. Therefore, we have joined Tree Nation to support them in their mission to reforest the Planet and fight climate change through conservation projects that help restore forests, create jobs, support the local communities where the projects are carried out and protect biodiversity.
Deporvillage will plant a tree for every purchase of the Finisseur Recycled Collection, the most sustainable range of Finisseur products, made with micro-perforated elastic fabric composed of 90% polyester from recycled materials that have the same characteristics as the standard yarn, but are more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
What do you think? Would you like to get involved in this initiative? Together, we can start to reforest the planet!
