Helly Hansen Crew Hooded Waterproof Jacket

Since it was founded in Norway back in 1887, Helly Hansen has been a brand closely associated with water. And not precisely because they are garments oriented to aquatic activities such as scuba diving, but because the protection they offer against this element and the wind is simply unmatched.

In this sense and following its essence, Helly Hansen presents its Crew Hooded Jacket a versatile garment originally designed for sailors and activities where getting wet is not an option, but a reality. A classic jacket in style and functionality, incorporating a hood for added protection.

The Helly Hansen Crew Hooded Jacket has adjustable sleeve cuffs so that, with the wind, they do not ride up and leave our forearms and wrists exposed. In this way we will be protected in the totality of our trunk and upper extremities. In addition, it has a foldable hood at the neck that will keep our head dry.

To protect our neck from the cold, it has a 100g fleece lining that provides some warmth as well as a pleasant feel to avoid any friction with the harder fibres of the jacket. It is a high collar that will prevent water from entering the inside of the jacket and, with the help of the hood, will also prevent rain and water from entering the back of our body.

Heavy-duty zippers

As it is the outermost layer of all, this type of jacket must have space to store our belongings so that they are well protected and secure. You have to have pockets for almost anything you want to store. For this purpose, the Helly Hansen Crew Hooded has two thermal hand pockets on both sides of the garment and one on the chest with a YKK zipper for easy one-handed operation.

All the zippers on this jacket, both the pocket zippers and the central zipper for fastening are very resistant. They go up and down perfectly, without stopping or jerking because they do not fit properly. You’ll have no problems with these zips!

Helly Tech Protection to keep us dry

One of the main technologies featured in the Helly Hansen Crew Hooded Jacket is the Helly Tech Protection, which guarantees waterproofing so as not to wet our inner layers under any circumstances.

Design Waterproof, windproof and breathable fabric technology which provides an ideal protective layer for any activity in wet, windy or cold conditions. Keep your body dry, comfortable and protected. The seams are fully sealed to prevent liquid from entering the interior.

Conclusions

The Helly Hansen Crew Hooded Jacket is a garment with which you will get full protection against the most adverse conditions in marine sports, but also other outdoor situations with high humidity and presence of water or wind. With a very low weight (580g) for this type of jacket and excellent waterproofing, breathability and windproof effect. In addition, it is very fitted, with an elegant cut, so you can wear it even on a daily basis.
