Finisseur Pro Thermal Recycled Bib Tights

Finisseur presents the Pro Thermal Recycled Bib Tights, with a tight and thermal cut, but with the novelty that their fabrics are recycled, something that undoubtedly demonstrates the manufacturer’s commitment to the environment. Otherwise, there are few differences between these bib tights and the Pro Thermal bib tights made of conventional fabric, so let’s take a look at them anyway.

Pro, for maximum fit

First of all, it is necessary to point out that at first glance they do seem like simple bib tights, without zippers nor stridencies in their design. However, they have a slim, close-fitting design, as is the case with all Finisseur Pro garments. They incorporate a great chamois pad and from our experience, an excellent warmth, to use even at temperatures below 0ºC. For this reason, they really feel like essential cycling bib tights for those who are looking for a cycling wardrobe garment for every winter.

The fabric? The best

Just as expected from Finisseur, the Fleece fabric offers an exceptional ability to fight the cold in these bib tights. We feel the warmth as soon as we put them on when the fabric comes into contact with our skin. This great feeling is also helped by all the flat seams, which minimises the risk of chafing or excess tension when we adopt certain positions on the bike. Also, by the back panel, which is micro-perforated to promote breathability and goes up to the middle of the back area to help the straps be more fixed and comfortable.

We had the opportunity to test the bib tights at really cold temperatures, close to 0ºC and with a very satisfactory result. Being enough to maintain our temperature in this area of the body at least.

Chamois pad

Unlike other higher level Finisseur models, these Pro Thermal bib tights use the Paris Men’s Elastic Interface chamois pad. This chamois pad, being top of the range, offers excellent performance. It’s comfortable thanks to the double density, between the front and back area. It provides absorption and stability when pedalling and a great support surface to spend hours on the bike and not have problems with the saddle. It should be noted that this chamois, like others used by Finisseur, is ventilated at the front by holes that supposedly provide a cooler and more constant temperature.

The virtue of balance

What stands out the most about the Pro Thermal Recycled, is that they are great bib tights in quite a number of different aspects, as well as standing out a lot in just one. First of all, these bib tights can withstand whatever you throw at them in terms of temperature. Designed to be used even at temperatures around -5ºC, we can assure you that they provide excellent warmth.

In addition to the thermal capacity, we liked their elasticity and fit to the body, the other pillar to make the bib tights very comfortable indeed. With a recommended use of no more than 6 hours to preserve the properties of the chamois, in theory.

Who are they for?

For road cyclists or mountain bikers who live in cold areas, looking for solid, comfortable, tight-fitting bib tights that adapt to any anatomy and for a very reasonable price compared to the current competition in the market.
