The Finisseur Core MTB is, apparently, a normal T-shirt. A garment that does not tighten in any part of the body, with a loose neckline, wide sleeves and a cut at the waist that falls under its own weight.
This type of clothing, as we have said, is suitable for those who do not go looking at the time. We tested it in just such a context. For recreational cycling, for a simple ride or to ride a bike on Enduro, technical, demanding routes.
All advantages
The truth is that cycling with a baggy jersey, as long as you don’t ride under performance cycling, only has advantages. The garment is not constricting, it doesn’t cling to the body. As it is not tight to the body, it allows more air to enter and circulate over the skin. However, it is not so aerodynamic, something that would be incompatible, as we say, in case you want to shave seconds off the time with your bike. That’s why this Finisseur Core MTB is great for those who ride Enduro, trail or just recreational riding. This garment meets almost perfect requirements for it.
Important details
The first detail we liked is the 3/4 zipper located on the neck and part of the torso. In addition to making it easier to dress and undress, it makes it easier to cool down when cycling in hot weather. That extra air that enters the chest with the zipper open is always appreciated.
Another detail, although it corresponds more to the technical aspect, is the comfort of the fabric. Its touch with the skin is really nice, soft and feels very light. This Finisseur Core MTB is made of polyester, like most technical sportswear, but with a touch of stretch. This allows total freedom of movement when cycling, with no tightness or tension. This is especially important for those of you who are going to use it for Enduro or trail rides, where you need total fluidity of movement on the most technical descents.
The T-shirt weighs just 180g in size M and features reflective detailing on both the front and back to help you be seen by pedestrians and other vehicles.
But the important details don’t end there. Considering that this T-shirt can be worn frequently with a backpack, it has a pocket in the back area in a side layout. That is, it is on the right side of our back, allowing easy access with the hand on the same side, to carry a small object such as house keys or a mobile phone, for example.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the garment and its fabric have a treatment that provides UPF+40 sun protection, something to take into account if you are going to wear it for long days outdoors.
Final verdict
The best verdict we can give on this jersey is that we found almost no weak points. In any case, it is clear that what we liked the most is its comfort and versatility. It is a garment to which you can give many uses for cycling and even other activities such as hiking. Roomy, breathable, comfortable and lightweight. Ideal for fun cycling or for long rides and trips.
