The last race of the Deporvillage TriTour league returns to the Mediterranean on 17 September.
Swimming in the sea, riding in the mountains and running on the flat are the main characteristics of the three segments of the Deporvillage TriTour Tossa de Mar; a complete triathlon for lovers of strong emotions.
The uniqueness of the courses of the race, as well as its location in the nerve centre and the spectacular walled area of Tossa de Mar, make this triathlon an unmissable event for lovers of sports tourism.
One of the peculiarities of the Deporvillage TriTour Tossa de Mar is that it is the only event in the league in which the swimming segment takes place in the Mediterranean Sea. The waves of the area can play for or against the athletes who will experience a personal battle in the open waters of the Costa Brava.
The cycling segment is notable for cycling along one of the most typical roads of the Catalan Costa Brava. The one that links the towns of Tossa de Mar and Sant Feliu de Guíxols through the mountains of Puig de les Cadiretes but with constant views of the Mediterranean. A road full of dubbies that will put cyclists’ legs to the test.
Finally, the running segment will run through the streets of the town of Tossa de Mar on a completely flat course.
The organisers expect to welcome more than 1,000 triathletes who will enjoy the natural beauty of the Costa Brava in one of the two distance options: Sprint or Olympic Triathlon. The organisation’s years of experience, as well as the thousands of triathletes who have already participated in previous editions of this event, have consolidated it as one of the must-do triathlons on the calendar of Spanish triathletes.
In addition, as it is the last stop of the Deporvillage TriTour League, the triathletes who have finished the four races will get a special prize.
