The leading sports e-commerce, Deporvillage announces its new alliance as the main technical sponsor of the Zurich Marató Barcelona after signing an agreement for the next two seasons. For the company, it is one of the most important sponsorships to date and is part of its commitment to consolidate running as one of its most important categories.
For Deporvillage, becoming the main technical partner of Zurich Marató de Barcelona represents an important milestone in its successful trajectory, hitting off its first campaign of these dimensions in the running discipline. With this partnership, Deporvillage acts as the main supplier of technical materials for runners and volunteers attending the event. In addition, the sponsorship of the Zurich Marató Barcelona is part of its strategy to increase its presence in major sporting events in its most important categories, such as cycling, running and outdoor sports.
Thus, Deporvillage has become one of the most visible brands of the event, only behind Zurich, the title sponsor of the race. Initially, the duration of the sponsorship is for the next two years starting on May 8, 2022 with the first event.
Barcelona, a key venue
The decision is no coincidence: Based in Manresa, Deporvillage feels closely linked to the city of Barcelona, which it considers “A key venue to start with the sponsorship strategy in the running discipline. The Official Zurich Marató Barcelona T-shirt
Two months prior the celebration of the race, we already have the design of the Barcelona Marathon T-shirt, which will be given to all the participants of this edition. With the white colour as a new arrival and the new skyline of Barcelona, with the star of the Sagrada Familia as the protagonist, it represents one of the gifts that the participants of the race value the most.
The event, which will be held on May 8 and will have around 15,000 runners, will repeat the beautiful urban circuit through the heart of Barcelona as in other editions, passing through the legacy of Gaudí, the unique Eixample or the Camp Nou, considered one of the most spectacular and magical Marathons in the world, according to participants of previous editions.
The agreement also includes Deporvillage’s participation in the eDreams Mitja Marató de Barcelona, which will celebrate its 32nd edition on Sunday, April 3.
