It installs a photovoltaic plant to cover more than 80% of its annual electricity consumption

Southern Europe’s leading sports e-commerce company deporvillage has installed solar panels for self-consumption on the roof of its new offices. It plans to cover 84.5% of its current electricity consumption with clean and environmentally friendly energy, achieving a significant reduction in its carbon footprint, as well as significant financial savings.

With this, deporvillage, which markets products for the practice of outdoor sports, reaffirms its commitment to the conservation of the planet by opting for the use of non-polluting energy to produce the energy it consumes. With an investment of around 93,000 euros, it has completed the installation of a solar plant on the roof of its offices, located in Sant Fruitós de Bages (Barcelona). The solar installation consists of 286 photovoltaic panels and has a total production capacity of about 186,880 kWh per year.

The installation of solar panels is part of the company’s sustainability plan to reduce pollution and promote the efficient use of natural resources. The plan began with the elimination of plastic from the packaging of its more than 5,000 daily shipments; and the activation of the campaign to reforest the planet by planting a tree for each unit sold of Recycled products of its own brands. It has already planted more than 1600 trees.
